Missed Blue Box Collection

Blue box recycling is collected once a week on your scheduled collection day.  

Blue bin recycling should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection. The time of collection could change at any time without notice.  

Acceptable containers 

• blue boxes provided by the City of Vaughan
• blue boxes purchased at retail outlets – must be the same size and style as City bins 

 Unacceptable containers 

• cardboard boxes
• garbage bags (any colour) and garbage containers (any colour)
• containers with attached or detachable lids 
• wheeled containers and oversized containers
