Wasps and hornets’ nests are sprayed upon inspection.  The nests will usually fall within one week, if not, it will eventually fall. The wasps / hornets will leave the nest area once it has been sprayed and will not return to that nest.  If there is no nest, the tree is not sprayed. Wasps / Hornets surrounding trees do so to feed off other insects at times but will not be sprayed.

If the nest inspected ends up being a bee’s nest - please be advised that the nest / hive will not be sprayed as bees are a protected species under the federal government of Canada. By law the spraying of bees is not permitted. Contact the beekeeper to have the bees safely removed and preserved.
