Shrub Beds, Planters and Weeds

The Parks, Forestry and Horticulture Operations Department oversees the maintenance of the City of Vaughan's shrub beds.

 

The City of Vaughan maintains approximately 802 Shrub Beds, 75 Annuals Beds, 28 Perennial Entry Feature Beds, 785 Hanging Baskets, 557 Planters across the City.  Maintenance consists of pruning, weeding and mulching.  Shrub beds are categorized into three main classifications:

  • entrance features/gateways
  • boulevard locations which are along roadways, both regional and municipal
  • islands/medians/roundabouts.
