Road Culvert and Ditch Repair

The Roads Operations Department installs and replaces culverts for Vaughan residents and businesses. The purpose of culverts is to enable a driveway entrance or entrances across existing ditches for:

  • Newly constructed homes or businesses
  • Changes to existing driveways
  • Providing access to properties in rural areas (i.e. farming, building lots etc.)

To report a municipal emergency or problem that requires immediate attention, please call Service Vaughan at 905-832-2281. 

The following problems are considered a municipal emergency request:

  • Sink hole in driveway 
  • Culvert is fully clogged with debris causing water ponding/flooding and damage to property

Through regular patrols, staff identify ditch locations that require regrading to correct flow problems.
